Free Indeed is an awakening to intimacy and friendship with God that ignites the fire of God and consumes the lies we are fed from external sources so that we can walk free indeed. Intimacy with Jesus and true identity in Him, the Secret Place; is a much-needed revelation because it is the place from which everything else flows. If the enemy can plant a false identity it becomes a counterfeit identity that can derail our original design and destiny in Christ. When we allow external voices to lie to us and define us, we are trading our original design for a counterfeit, this has been my experience for many years. Mandy shares her experiences, encounters, revelations, and the steps she took to gain victory in areas that had held her captive. As I read I began to identify the false identity I had been agreeing with. I have spent way too much time labeling myself in direct contradiction to what the Bible says about me. Believers rejected Paul for his bad past, and I have struggled with the lie that what I have done and what has happened to me is greater than what Christ has done for me. In my heart, I know that the finished work of the cross is greater but my experience has repeatedly been that it wasn't enough. Fear and lack of understanding have wreaked havoc in my life and it has caused my voice to be silenced and stifled. Mandy captures the heart of my struggle saying: "If the enemy can keep you in bondage, thinking you are forever bound to whatever you struggle with, then you will never be bold for Jesus because you will never know that you can be." Our focus should be allowing truth to take root in the heart to consume our thoughts instead of letting the contrary things take root in our inner world. Free Indeed is all about Jesus and dismantling fear, doubt, lies, and unbelief for a more fruitful and productive walk as a child of God. When intimacy is established identity is established; and when identity is established we can live out of the overflow of the meadow, our own Secret Place with Jesus.
